What Is Hoodia?

Hoodia is a plant that grows in South Africa which resembles a cactus. There are many different types of Hoodia, but the Hoodia Gordonii species is the only one that is used as an appetite suppressant. The Hoodia plant can grow up to 1 meter tall.

It is said that African bushman used Hoodia Gordonii as an appetite suppressant for almost 20 thousand years while going on long hunts. Since Hoodia Gordonii has such great appetite suppressant qualities, it has gotten extremely popular in western countries.
